PRE works best when every member is actively engaged, committed to the mission, and focused on building strong relationships. If you want to maximize your results and truly stand out in your chapter, here’s how to be an “A+” PRE member.

Treat Your Weekly Meeting Like the Priority It Is

Block off your chapter meeting on your calendar as if it’s your most important client meeting because in many ways, it is. This is your weekly sales meeting with your extended sales team. Show up so consistently that your absence feels noticeable.

Arrive Early and Bring Your Best Attitude

Start each meeting by showing up on time (or early!) with positive energy. Your attitude sets the tone! (Not just for your own experience, but for everyone around you.)

Mix, Mingle, and Make Connections

Before the meeting starts, use that time to say hello to everyone in the room. The more connected you are with your chapter members, the stronger your referral results will be.

Nail Your 30-Second Infomercial

Use your weekly spotlight to clearly communicate what a great referral looks like for you. A well-crafted 30-second infomercial grabs attention and helps your team help you. Be as specific as possible so it's easy for your PRE team to mention your name to their friends and colleagues.

Tap Into the Tools at Your Fingertips

PRE provides a deep library of training and tools to help you grow your chapter and your business. Make time to explore the Resources section, and put those resources to work.

Make One-on-Ones a Habit

Some of the best referral relationships are built outside of the weekly meeting. Commit to regular one-on-ones to deepen trust and understanding with your fellow members. Better relationships lead to better referrals every time. (Reminder, one-on-ones do not count as a referral.)

Keep Contact Info Handy

Add your chapter members to your phone contacts, email list, and keep their business cards nearby. The easier it is to refer, the more often it will happen.

Listen for Referral Clues Everywhere

Second-generation referrals often come from the casual conversations you overhear every day. Train yourself to recognize key phrases that signal opportunity and then connect the dots and make the introduction.

Keep Inviting Guests

Your chapter thrives when it grows with the right people. Always be thinking about who you could invite. A guest today might be a great member tomorrow! Plus, more good people means more referrals for everyone.

Want to go the extra mile? Add your own tips to this list and share what’s worked for you during your next chapter meeting. PRE is at its best when we all show up with intention, generosity, and a team mindset. That’s what being an “A+” member is all about.
